At De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D), research is more than outputs—it is a mission-aligned pursuit that advances knowledge, informs policy, empowers communities, and safeguards human dignity. The Faculty Research Manual 2024–2029 sets the standards, processes, and support systems that enable faculty to conduct rigorous, ethical, and socially transformative research.

Publication Excellence, Community Extension, Policy Development, Research Commercialization.
DLSU-D strives to inspire excellence and drive innovation toward a just, peaceful, and sustainable society—championing human and Christian education through responsive research and extension programs.
Support and funding alignment, capability building, publication integrity, ethical standards, protection of intellectual property, and social transformation guide all endeavors.

Research is organized around the Cavite Development Research Program (CDRP) and Institutional Research Thrusts (IRT), aligned with international Lasallian research themes. Priority areas include: Sustainability and Environment, Technology and Urban Systems, Agriculture and Industry, Responsible Governance and Public Safety, Social Concerns and Cultural Heritage.

DLSU-D's research ecosystem is supported by: Office of the Deputy Provost for Research (ODPR), University Research Office (URO), Cavite Studies Center (CSC), Intellectual Property Office of DLSU-D (IPOD/ITSO), DLSU-D Ethics Review Committee (DERC), and multi-level councils and committees.
The research process covers: Completion, Extensions, and Termination; Dissemination, Publication, IP, and Utilization; Incentives, Awards, and Promotions; Compensation and Budget Essentials; Grants and Subsidies; Key Dates and Effectivity.
An internally funded project is considered complete upon submission of the final research report, financial liquidation, and presentation of outputs.
Terminated studies require a formal explanation, return of unused funds, and documentation of any partial outputs or findings.

The Faculty Research Manual ensures that all research at DLSU-D adheres to the highest standards of academic integrity, ethical conduct, and social responsibility.
